Europe, Where Telling the Truth Can Land One In the Courts and Even in Prison

A free speech activist in Vienna, Austria has been charged with inciting religious hatred and faces a possible three-year prison sentence simply for criticizing Islam and Shariah law. She is guilty of nothing more than speaking up as has Angela Merkel, Nicolas Sarkozy, and David Cameron, Chancellor of Germany, President of France, and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, respectively, who have all commented publicly concerning the failures of multiculturalism.

Given sharia's view of homosexuality, wouldn't publicly stating or supporting the sharia be criminal hate speech?

If Christians responded violently to the dismissal of their ethical beliefs, would criticizing them become criminal?

I think your first question is quite significant. Consistency would surely suggest an affirmative answer. I think.

If I correctly understand your second question, probably not.
