I do, however, want to let you know that my essay, "The Language of God and Adam’s Genesis & Historicity in Paul’s Gospel" has been published and is the featured essay in the latest issue of The Southern Baptist Journal of Theology. You may want to download it and read it later, since it is fairly lengthy.

I appreciate this article very much. It shows clearly that theistic evolutionists have to ditch a lot of core Bible teaching.
What about Old Earth Creationists, who accept the historicity of Adam, but believe that various sciences interrelate to show us that the Earth is very old?
Is this problematic also if you want to be faithful to what Scripture says?
Yes, I am persuaded that so-called OEC poses essentially the same problems concerning Adam's genesis & historicity. I tried to leave hints in my essay that would tip my hand, particularly in footnotes. The issue is quite basic. What is our final authority for faith? After all, from ancient times, "I believe in God the Father maker of heaven and earth . . ." is an issue of faith, not of science. It still is for me. Cf. Hebrews 11:6.
